Their Story

Travis and Jenny started chatting on Bumble on September 30, 2023, and had their first date on October 2nd - dinner and Top Golf. While Travis then debated on when to ask for a second date so as not to look too eager, Jenny reached out first to set up a second date doing something they both enjoy – watching a Ranger game. That date then led to Travis asking Jenny to the State Fair, which ended up being a 6+ hours long date, mostly just talking and enjoying spending time together.
The relationship was off to the races from there, just like the Ranger’s World Series run, which played a huge part in the first several weeks of their dating. Many of the games were watched cuddled up together, including going to game 4 of the ALCS, where Travis met Jenny’s parents for the first time. (The game was a big loss for the Rangers, but they still enjoyed it very much!) So, the 2023 Rangers will always have a very special place in their hearts!
Over the months, they have gotten to know each other and their families (who they both love and who love them). They have loved competing in various games (luckily they are both good losers and winners), playing trivia, going to movies, watching so many sporting events, and just being together. Most of all, they have loved that they feel completely free to be their goofy, nerdy selves with each other.
This all led to Travis’ proposal at “Dodson Falls” outside of Lake City, CO on their 9-month anniversary (July 2, 2024). A lot of Jenny’s family was in Lake City for the week of the 4th since the family has had a cabin there since the 70s, and they were on the trip up to American Basin – where Travis originally planned to propose. But, when Jenny suggested hiking up the waterfall while they were waiting on some of the family to catch up, Travis took the opportunity for the beautiful, intimate proposal. And, she, of course, said yes immediately.
They are incredibly excited for their wedding, and, more importantly, for their lifetime together after! So, I guess the moral of this story is that dating apps do work 😊!
